Our Beginnings
Two Companies.
Basin Service is made up of a merger of two long-standing oilfield service companies: Basin Service and Ward Williston Company.
Basin was started in the early 1960s by Don Ballantyne. Ward Williston (W-W) was established in the 1950s and was nearly the first company in ND to complete an oil well in the state.
TRANSITION
Ward Williston Sale

In 2011, the owners of Ward Williston Company sold the trucking and service company to MBI and the production assets to Enduro Resources.

A new Future
Basin Service Company then forged a new direction when Robbie and Lori joined Basin as majority owners and subsequently purchased the MBI/Ward Williston assets back and rolled them into Basin Service.
